Let's be honest, I'm too busy to update this.

What do UX/UI designers do anyways?

I get this question all the time. UX/UI is a specialized niche that spans not only graphic design skills, but also how we as humans interact with digital media. I think it's safe to say that the majority of people interact with digital media everyday.....phone, computer, ATM kiosk, you name it, we interact with it. Shoot, you're probably reading this on your phone right now!

But do you ever think twice about the layout, flow and experience you have? Unless it resonated as a poor experience, that means that UX/UI designer did their job! Lately I've noticed a plethora of business apps flooding the market. Retailers and other industries have come to understand that in order to stay relevant and connect with their customers, they need apps. However, the last few consumer iOS/Android apps I've downloaded (some from my favorite retailers even) have left me feeling dissatisfied. Incorrect user flow for the platform, tappable areas that are too small, an interface that looks like it was designed for web and just a general lack of knowledge for native mobile app design leave me feeling let down as a customer.

So, if you or your business is getting ready to launch or re-design your app, make sure you have an experienced UX/UI designer at the helm!

Here's a great educational infographic in case you're wondering what we do.
